James Aldred Graf, age 88, of Myrtle Creek, Oregon, passed away peacefully in his home on July 31, 2025. James was born May 23, 1937, in Portland, Oregon, to James Andrew Graf and Evelyn Ruth Richards. He lived in Myrtle Creek his whole life and graduated from Myrtle Creek High School in 1955.
James served in the US Navy from November 1956 to November 1960. Upon return, he married the love of his life, Sharon Dorine Davidson, on Oct. 7, 1961. They had three children and ran a family-owned business, James A. Graf Trucking Inc., and Graf Logging, for 63 years.
James is survived by his daughter Shannon Watson (Jeff), son Robert Graf (Kimberly), and daughter Deborah Moore (Tadd). Nine grandchildren: Shalaine Potter (Zach), Heather McCleskey, Schuyler Watson (Kristie), Kevin Graf (Courtney), Ryan Graf (Annie), Kaden Graf, Taylor Clarke (Kalyb), Lilliah Moore, and Gabriella Moore. Twelve great-grandchildren: Logan, Ashlyn, Josey, Clayton, Paisley, Romie, Austin, Lainey, Holden, Everett, James, and Lucille. Brother Richard Graf, sister Judy Graf, brother Kenneth Graf (Mary).
James was preceded in death by his wife Sharon, parents James and Evelyn Graf, and grandson Branden Graf. Please join the family for a Celebration of Life from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 23, 2025, at Evergreen Park in Myrtle Creek. There will be a private graveside service.
