Jon Houston

Jon L. Houston, 70, of Creswell, Oregon, passed away on May 21, 2026. He was born on June 5, 1955, in Roseburg, Oregon.

Jon dedicated much of his life to service, both to his country and his community. He began his military career in 1973, serving honorably in the United States Air Force, Army, and Air National Guard. During his time in the Army, he earned the Army Achievement Medal and proudly served for over 12 years before receiving an honorable discharge in 1985.

Following his military service, Jon built a long and steady career with the United States Postal Service, working for more than 35 years.

Jon was a creative and hands-on individual who enjoyed using his ideas to build, paint, and design. He also loved watching sports and spending time relaxing with his favorite teams.

He is survived by his children: Travis Leonard Houston, Joshua Lee Houston, and Jessica Leah Houston; His granddaughter Hailey Anne Houston and his sister, Kendy Leah Cirbo and nephew Jason Scott Moore.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on June 15, 2026, at Roseburg Memorial Gardens in Roseburg, Oregon.

Jon will be remembered for his dedication, creativity, and years of service to both his country and his community.
